Rain or Shine!

Or a whole lot of rain. I was asked to shoot a small wedding in a park today. Seemed pretty straight forward. Rain was in the forecast. But I thought it would be the sort of hit-or-miss rain that could hold out for a half hour. Nope! It was very very wet. But really really sweet at the same time! The bride and grooms family all met in a gazebo for the ceremony as a very real symbol of the two families becoming one under the same roof out in the middle of nature. I was very happy to have been the one to capture it.

So, flash photography is different. I'm more of a natural light gal, so this was literally my first time using a flash in any kind of event or session. There was really no way to avoid using a flash either because of the weather. But I made it work! This one (no flash) was one of my favorites. Not so much one I would pick to hang on your wall, but I love the artistic element I was able to create with it.
