A friend and I planned this shoot out for a while. It was a fun portrait sort of shoot. And it turned out to be just that! The location we agreed on was beautiful and completely empty - so no dodging various pedestrians. Julie was fun and had lots of great ideas that we incorporated in to the session. Definitely something I'd like to do again.
I've recently been loving my 105mm lens for most portrait shoots. It can have a really wide aperture, so that's always important for that background blur. But for some of the shots where I couldn't stand too far away, I used my 50mm lens, which is weird because it has the same aperture abilities. But I still prefer the 105mm. To each their own I guess?
I loved how this shot turned out! To view more of this shoot, go to the Portraits album.
