I was never a Girl Scout, but I was asked to photograph the Bridge Ceremony for a local Girl Scout troop over the weekend. It was raining all the morning before, and it was sort of amazing that the clouds sort of opened up just long enough for this event. I was worried! Anyway, the Bridge Ceremony, from what I could gather, was a transition for the group of girls from one level of Girl Scouting to another. So it was sort of a big deal. It was a really sweet ceremony and nice to be able to be there to document it for them and their parents.
There were many sweet moments, but some of my favorites were when the girls stopped at the bridge after receiving their brownie uniform. They were all so happy and proud : )
Here is an example (oh that background blur. love it!) A few more can be found in the Bridge Ceremony album.
Also, notice I made a new watermark!
