Hi, I am Sarah.

Photography has been a passion of mine for longer than I can remember. I grew up with countless disposable cameras and those awesome little compact cameras that took Kodacolor film and made it feel like you were James bond... only with a camera. And let's not forget Poloroids which, let's be honest, I am not sad to see make a comeback. I believe that my love of photography came from the freedom that I had to take pictures of anything and everything that I saw, even if half of them turned out blurry and resembled a Big Foot sighting.

As I got older (and had to pay for my photos to be developed myself - yes, I'm developing-film-old), I learned to take my time and really think about how a photo would turn out. The whole process of wrapping your head around the situation or subject became part of the fun of it all and made me understand how photography can actually be art.

I am studying Graphic Design at Delaware County Community College and that is where I had the opportunity to take a black and white photography class. Suddenly I was the one developing my own film. Watching the process from coming up with the concept of the the image, to the execution of the idea by physically taking the picture, to developing the film in a dark room, and to mounting the final product. The hours spent in the photo lab, and really learning the science behind photography, was something that I feel so fortunate to have gotten to experience.

I have had the opportunity to shadow some amazing fellow artists.Watching, learning and gaining worlds of information about this industry that I had always hoped to explore myself. I don't think I would be the photographer I am today without finding this community that provided me so much guidance.

Then, I took the next step and started my own business, where you find yourself now. I have worked with great individuals and families, photographing treasured moments in the form of family, kids, babies, and engagement photos as well as weddings and other more artistic portraits. It has been a great deal of fun turning everything that I've spent years learning in to something that makes people so happy.

Please take your time looking through my site and everything that I have to offer and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Maybe I will be able to help capture your memories one day as well.

Sarah.
